Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to We Rate Stuff News. My name is John Hoy and I have a very important topic for you tonight. Our subject is, why yes you guessed it, the fast food champion of the world, McDonald’s. This year so far McDonald’s has already garnered a lot of hype, from their new oatmeal to a national hiring day in an attempt to bring in 50,000 new employees. Today I have something new for you straight from the McDonald’s laboratory, or from my store who began selling it early, but that does not make a difference! So let’s see what I found in my study drawers. It’s McDonald’s new Frozen Strawberry Lemonade.
The Frozen Strawberry Lemonade comes from the same machine you all get your delicious frappes and smoothies from. After the employee selects the correct drink and the size. The high-tech blender then dispenses the correct ratio of lemonade base and ice into the blending pitcher, mixing it to sheer perfection. While the blending is taking place your local McCafe specialist is adding the correct number pumps of strawberry syrup to the cup. They put either three, four, or six pumps of strawberry into your glass depending on the size. The crew member should then remove the pitcher from the machine and they should begin tapping your glass of syrup on their workstation while pouring the concoction into the glass slowly. The tapping creates the artistic swirly look to the strawberry syrup throughout the lemonade blended drink. Without the tapping the strawberry will sit at the bottom of your cup, unmixed.
Apparently the strawberry lemonade had been in testing for over year because there just was not enough product to go around to all 13,000+ stores. Finally after all the waiting, today it will be available to everyone nationwide. Now with the drink being out locally for about half a month now I have been able to down a couple dozen of these drinks trying everything possible with them. I found the balance of sweet and tart flavors to balance out nicely. As I mentioned before, the strawberry is from a syrup; no fruit chunks in this one, unfortunately. It has a light, almost slushy texture with fine ice particles.
When I receive my frozen deliciousness I shake up the cup, mixing the frozen lemonade and the strawberry syrup. This leaves you with a more evenly distributed strawberry flavor throughout, instead of slurping up all of the berry in the first few drinks or stupidly trying to stir the drink with the straw, which never works out very well. I would recommend this drink to anyone who enjoys an ice cold glass of lemonade and/or strawberries. It’ll be love at first sip. With summer quickly approaching, this is a perfect drink to escape the impending doom of heat.
tl;dr: Go and beat the heat on the street with this tasty treat, just please make sure not to drop it on your feet. It’s too tasty to waste, best to put it in your face, drink it down at your place, on the move or in the car, don’t worry you won’t have to go far to find the closest mickey D’s, it’s most likely right down the street from either you or me. Stop in, pop in, come on by, order a glass and enjoy a sigh of relief by sitting in the seats, taking a load off those feets, enjoy a frozen strawberry lemonade today.

I had the idea of ordering this with no Strawberry, and then combining it with a large iced tea to make an ultimate Arnold Palmer. Feel free to try it.
I recently tried the frozen strawberry lemonade with the free coupon from the paper and loved it! Perfect for summer! I noticed while I was there that it does cost a bit more to upgrade from the regular combo drink to a frozen lemonade, but it just might be worth it!
Those be some hot rhymes, son.
