Doritos Tailgater BBQ

Yesterday, during lunch at work, I was browsing the store’s wares after having finished some macaroni and cheese. I decided to check out the chip aisle, because it hasn’t produced anything notable in a while. Sitting amongst the other Doritos was a solitary lonely bag called Tailgater BBQ Doritos. After an inner monologue about whether or not it would be worth it to buy these, new or not, I made a snap decision and chose to buy them.

My skepticism of their deliciousness was rooted in the fact that BBQ chips are just GD boring. No offense if that’s your flavor or anything, they just pretty much all taste the same to me, and seriously boring. Not only that, but even the design of the bag that contained the chips was utterly uninspired. I almost thought they were a misprint bag of nacho cheese Doritos. Anyway, I popped the bag open and tasted them. I don’t think there’s any word for how I felt from the discrepancy between what I was expecting and what I was actually tasting. Oh wait. “Surprised” is pretty good.

These are the manliest chips I’ve eaten in my life. I don’t know if it’s because the flavor was inspired by Madden NFL ’11 or it was an accident or what. The taste is bold beyond compare. It’s the taste you’d dream of if you got smashed in the mouth by a football and went unconscious. Tailgater BBQ is really the perfect name for it, because they’ve stunningly replicated the taste of BBQ meat, pork in specific. I’ll be an uncle’s monkey (ew no I won’t) if these chips don’t taste like a savory pulled pork sandwich, or a succulent BBQ rib. Now you don’t have to just toss around the pigskin, you can taste it, too!

Tailgater BBQ Doritos are so obviously delicious that John Madden would point it out. They have such a meaty flavor, these are almost like dog treats for men. Man treats: Get your man into chip-shape today! The only other chip flavor that has even dreamed of tasting this much like meat is Doritos’ Late Night Cheeseburger. Even if you’re not a big fan of BBQ chips, give this one a try. It’s certainly my kind of BBQ.

Snyder's of Hanover claims to be America's Pretzel Bakery since 1909. I don't know about that, but they've been mine since about 2007. I tried out their new Three Cheese Medley Sourdough Nibblers.
