SunChips Spicy Chipotle

Eating healthy has not always been my thing, although in the past few years I kinda have jumped on the eat-right bandwagon that’s all the buzz nowadays. It’s better for you and after a healthy well balanced meal, I do admit, I just feel better about myself. Don’t get me wrong, chowing down on some good ol’ Micky D’s, or any other fast food chain for that matter, is certainly tempting but it just isn’t as satisfying as eating a meal and knowing that it is nutritionally benefiting my body. With that being said, it is only natural for me to keep an eye out for new foods that are delicious yet still healthy.

On my plate today, we have new Spicy Chipotle SunChips. With 18g of whole grains per serving and only 200 calories, they make a great addition to a well balanced lunch or even just a tasty snack. They also claim to contain 30% less fat than regular potato chips. So while choosing to snack on chips may not be the healthiest option, within the chip realm they seem to be at the top of the charts for being good for you. Anyone reading this correct me if I’m wrong, please. I’m always up for trying new snacks, especially if they are similar to these because these are amazing. By far one of the best chips I’ve tasted in a while. To be honest, I feel like they’re the perfect chip; I could eat them and never stop, and they’re healthy too, so I guess I could do that. Well, maybe for like a minute. Either way, I highly recommend them. They offer up a satisfying spicy taste that is bold, but not hot enough to leave a burning aftertaste in you mouth. They also have a tangy chipotle taste too; its a perfect combination of flavors.

All in all, I am definitely a fan of these new Spicy Chipotle SunChips. Advertising steps to a healthier you as well as steps to a healthier planet, I can firmly say that I stand behind both. Not only have the makers of SunChips nailed down a great tasting chip but also one that is healthy and eco-friendly. Thanks, SunChips guys. You’ve restored some of my faith in our planet.

7/7

After decades of potato chip-ery, you'd think that we'd be beyond the era of BBQ. Not so! says Frito-Lay. Ruffles' Smokehouse Style BBQ chips may not necessarily taste new, but the bag says otherwise. Find out what Kaitis thinks.

Snyder’s of Hanover Three Cheese Medley Nibblers

Snyder's of Hanover claims to be America's Pretzel Bakery since 1909. I don't know about that, but they've been mine since about 2007. I tried out their new Three Cheese Medley Sourdough Nibblers.

  1. Those bags are so damn loud!

  2. Chipotle…Sun Chips…2 of my favorite things.Flavored Sun Chips rate a 5 on the scale of "messy fingers." Cheetos are a true 10.

  3. I only have had these at Subway and they are good but not as good as the peppercorn ranch or garden salsa flavors.
