Reese's Peanut Butter Lovers

“Peanut Butter Lover”, in my eyes, should be a title you have to earn. It should be held as a competition with only a select few that are triumphant. You should have to eat an Iron Chef amount of meals with the secret ingredient being that sweet, delicious peanut butter. I’d also recommend some sort of trivia competition based around this amazing food. To wrap it all up I would have an epic triathlon featuring rowing in peanut butter, followed by Peanut Butter Jar shot putting, and finishing up with pole vaulting, complete with a peanut butter tub as a landing mat. And those would only be the summer games.

I can’t personally say I’m a contender in the games, but don’t get me started on how much I watch them. I’ll also put the good stuff on anything that even resembles bread or crackers, even dessert items, it’s all good. I even reviewed a new kind of JIF. So, naturally I’m a fan of Reese’s peanut butter cups; short of having a peanut allergy how could you not like them? Luckily I’m not one of those people, and I currently have a pack of the newest Reese’s sitting in front of me. The use of the holy, coveted title of “Peanut Butter Lover’s,” is a big deal… but does it live up to its title?

Well, if this was an elementary school competition, it would get the “Good Try Award.” Honestly it’s not a very big change. It’s almost like they’re making some sort of bootleg version, and they can’t afford the top layer of chocolate. It’s seriously about the exact same amount of peanut butter as a regular Reese’s cup. As much as I thought I would like it, I don’t really. The peanut butter flavor seems designed more to mix with the chocolate, rather than standing alone, leaving too much salty peanut butter. Remember Reese’s Big Cup? Now that should’ve been called Peanut butter Lover’s, with all of the extra peanut butter inside, but still enough chocolate for them to blend well. So if given the opportunity again, I’ll probably skip this one. Not that it’s inedibly bad or anything, but I think I’d rather devote my time on a petition to bring those Big Cups back.

That may also be the most times I have, or ever will write the words peanut butter in my life. If you can it write more in something that’s actually legible, then congratulations, you’re cordially invited to the 2011 Summer Peanut Butter Lover-lympic Games. That’s how I got my invite.

Silk Pure Almond Dark Chocolate Milk

Milk substitutes are the butt of many a joke, but realistically they're not that bad. Especially when you get them in the chocolate flavor. Unless that chocolate flavor doesn't pan out. Did it? Find out.

Dunkin' Donuts Chocolate Lovers Month

Dunkin’ Donuts Chocolate Lovers Month

If Homer Simpson wasn't so in love with donuts, I bet there'd be far fewer patrons of donut shops. I guess that's why they gave him his own donut. That's some meta marketing. Too bad he's missing their revamped chocolate recipe.

Peanut Butter Snickers

There are a few things I've always wanted to see inside a Snickers candy bar: gummy bears, gummy worms, and gummy shaped Snickers minis - meta! Never peanut butter though. It already has peanuts in it, you know? Brad knows; may...
