Dunkin' Donuts Chicken Parmesan Flatbread Sandwich

While looking for new stuff on the net, I decided to check my email. Being the busy man I am, I had multiple days worth of new mail to sort through. Scrolling down a bit, I ran across one that read “Try the new Chicken Parm san…” I had to read more. Turned out to be Dunkin’ Donuts’ new Oven Toasted Chicken Parm Flat bread sandwich. After reading a paragraph and seeing a picture of the above stated, I knew this is what I wanted to eat today.

After becoming decent, finding the car, and driving to the restaurant, I was sitting in the drive thru lane by the speaker. Ready to place my order, a man came on and took it. I ordered the Chicken Parm and a coffee. After moving in a forward motion to the first window, I paid the man who told me my total was $5.97; the sandwich is $3.99 +tax. He handed me my coffee and told me I could wait here for the sandwich to be up.

Moments pass, and a pleasantly pierced teen appeared at the window. She handed me a bag containing my sandwich. I asked her, “So have you tried the new Chicken Parm sandwich?” She countered with “No, but I’ve heard its good.” I commented back, “Well that’s good to hear, see ya later.” And I drove off into the sunset … or to WRS Headquarters. Whichever you like better.

The whole drive I was tempted to snag a nibble of the sandwich. I had to see what it was made of. I settled on sipping on my succulent coffee. Once I arrived at HQ, I pulled this ‘wich out of its wrapper and took a bite of it. All of the flavors went very well together; it was like eating a Stouffer’s Chicken Parmigiana on a sandwich, with no spaghetti and no inordinate amounts of Mariana all over everywhere. I got down and dirty with the sandwich and opened her up. It was a generously sized chicken patty, lightly breaded and seasoned. It reached out to all three corners of the flat bread so each bite was guaranteed to include a bite of meat. They topped it with melted provolone cheese and just enough marinara sauce, not enough to leave the bread sliding around in your fingers. Her buns were flat bread, hot, fresh, and toasty. Now for the nutritional side of it all – it comes close to 500 calories, topping off at 480. It has 22 grams of fat, seven of which are saturated. It also has 45 milligrams of cholesterol and a hefty 1220 milligrams of sodium. Last but not least, it has 47 grams of carbs. Still, it was one tasty morsel.

Overall the sandwich was great, and is definitively worth a try. Kinda pricey, $3.99 is a tad bit expensive for a thin flat bread sandwich, but it kept my stomach content. It was a nice snack. If i knew I was going to pass a Dunkin Donuts with an empty stomach and wanted something different, I would run straight for the Chicken Parm Flatbread sandwich. Because you know America runs on Dunkin’, unless there is something closer.

Wendy’s Cheesy Cheddar Burger

There are a lot of things you can do with a burger, but arguably one of the best is to add cheese. Not plain old American cheese, but Cheddar. Wendy's has made the attempt, but did they cheese it up right?

Arby’s Angus Cool Deli Wrap

Arby's is different; while all the other fast food chains chase the dollar menu dream, this restaurant guy is in it for the big bucks. The question is whether or not the Angus Cool Deli Wrap is worth 3 McDoubles and 3 BK Stackers.

Taco Bell XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito Review

Taco Bell XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

Taco Bell, everyone's favorite food recycler, is back with yet another proclamation of new food that is entirely too familiar. Their "new" XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito technically qualifies as new, but only from an added condiment.

Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito

Taco Bell has tried pulling the wool over our eyes in the past, but nothing as blatant as with the Beefy Melt Burrito, which is just a Beefy Crunch without Flamin' Hot Fritos. Read on for jokes about this uninspired creation.
