McDonald's Brownie Melt

Yesterday I detailed my experience with Arby’s Bacon Cheddar Roastburger that I had a few weeks ago while driving up to Illinois from Florida. Now, it’s a bit of a drive, so I needed to use a restroom. Making a pit stop in Calvert City, Kentucky, I was in store to find a tasty treat at my favorite eating establishment, McDonald’s. Pulling into store 12075′s lot, my eyes latched onto the sign for the NEW Brownie Melts. I quickly made my way inside to use the facilities. After washing my hands, of course, I flew out of the restroom, right up to the front counter. The crew member Danielle greeted me and pleasantly took my order. I recieved my morsel and returned to the car as quickly as I possibly could.

Upon sitting down and closing the door, I pulled the Brownie Melt from its paper prison. After examining the specimen for a moment, I noticed it had some characteristics similar to the cinnamon melt. It comes in the same box, albeit brown and white, with the same pull apart design. The brownie is covered in a fudge sauce, topped with a drizzle of white icing to set the mood.

Taking a bite of this chocolatey treat was superb. The chocolate fudge was rich and creamy and went great with the soft brownie chunks. This is a great comfort food. It would go fantastically with one of McDonald’s premium roast coffees, or one of the many McCafé choices. But what I really wanted was a glass of ice cold milk, which really would have made this item complete. It is definitely not something I could eat everyday, but it is nicely complimentary to the apple pies and the selection of ice cream products they serve.

Old Wendy has been revamping her menu items and introducing entirely new ones recently, and she continues this trend with Wendy's Signature Sides - Vermont Cheddar Macaroni, a Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Butter, and Loaded Fries.

Wendy's Cheesy Cheddar Burger Review

Wendy’s Cheesy Cheddar Burger

There are a lot of things you can do with a burger, but arguably one of the best is to add cheese. Not plain old American cheese, but Cheddar. Wendy's has made the attempt, but did they cheese it up right?

Arby's Angus Deli Cool Wrap Review

Arby’s Angus Cool Deli Wrap

Arby's is different; while all the other fast food chains chase the dollar menu dream, this restaurant guy is in it for the big bucks. The question is whether or not the Angus Cool Deli Wrap is worth 3 McDoubles and 3 BK Stackers.

Taco Bell XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito Review

Taco Bell XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

Taco Bell, everyone's favorite food recycler, is back with yet another proclamation of new food that is entirely too familiar. Their "new" XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito technically qualifies as new, but only from an added condiment.

Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito Review

Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito

Taco Bell has tried pulling the wool over our eyes in the past, but nothing as blatant as with the Beefy Melt Burrito, which is just a Beefy Crunch without Flamin' Hot Fritos. Read on for jokes about this uninspired creation.

  1. >Sure sounds yummy :P Do you know if this is available outside of the allotted 10:30am (and completely arbitrary) breakfast time?

  2. >Indeed, your Bearness, they are available all day. However, they're only available in certain stores, so here's hoping you're near one!
