After leaving WRS Headquarters, I returned Brad to his place of residence. I then found myself quite hungry. I drove up and down the main road in my area only to find every drive thru in town was past their danger zone (three or more cars). I’m talking each was at least 10 cars deep. So I cruised all the way down the road to a Wendy’s that I imagined might not be crowded, and sure enough it was not. I pulled up to the speaker and saw a sign for something “NEW”, and instantly the man asked if I would like to try the new Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings? I interrogated, “Does it come in a combo?” ”Yes, it does,” he responded. I told him “Okay, I’ll have that and to drink a Dr. Pepper, light ice.” The man repeated my order back and I pulled around to the first window.
After the entire Wendy’s team struggled to swipe my debit card, I received the food that I had been anticipating. I parked in a space and pulled the asian creation Wendy’s made for me out of the bag. When I first looked at it I was kinda confused. They did not look like wings at all. They looked like chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce on them. Upon biting into one, I discovered they were boneless.
After taking my first bite I thought I was eating real asian food minus the rice substituted with fries. The wings were completely covered in the sweet and spicy sauce, making them moist and enjoyable. The sweet taste was exactly like the sweet and sour sauce Wendy’s serves, and the spice was very unique. It was hot, but not a lingering heat. It went away quite fast and was very delicious. I was happy to find out that the combo comes with 10 pieces of chicken. I was actually expecting less, but glad that Wendy’s is not trying to cheat me out of cash in these recession filled days. All in all, it was a great eat for the low price of $5.69 + tax. I would absolutely go back and try the two other flavors of the boneless wings, Bold Buffalo and Honey BBQ.

>These are VERY GOOD. It kinda tastes like General Tsos' chicken, but the sauce is much more flavorful, with a lot of heat. If you want an asian-centric dish FAST, this is a great way to get it. And I don't really like Wendys. How about that for a positive review concerning their menu items?
>These are the absolute worst thing I have ever had at any fast food establishment. Ever.
>they are ok,great for the first 5 pieces but then get boring, i think if they served it with something else like rice instead of fries the ywould be kickin! but i understand that the logistics of that are unreasonable
>I just ate these and they were not that good at all…the sauce was watered down SCHEZUAN and Duck sauces. For those who like a bite in their bite fulls, there was only a slight tingle on my lips afterwards. Overall, I'd have to rate this "once and done".
>These were not very good at all. It definitely will not satisfy your chinese food craving.
>Seriously. Anyone with normal tastebuds would find this product is horrid… Wendy's should try glazing this product NOT soaking in Chili Sauce…
>The Buffalo flavored 'wings' I received were soggy nuggets in a soupy flavorless, but extremely hot, sauce. Hot is NOT flavor!!
>they are very good
>they where kicking… very good w alot of taste
>Bold buffalo is not good at all, honey bbq and sweet and spicy asian chicken are pretty good though.
>Go to a local philipino store and order Mao Paolos Chicken sauce. Its the sauce they use. Hehe…
>ok, I was really put off that these are just their chicken nuggets drenched in sauces. I really feel this are misrepresented
I tried these the other day…ate two and threw the rest away. They tasted like really salty chicken nuggets submerged in asian sweet and sour sauce till the point of sogginess. I feel nauseated thinking about them…damn commercial made them actually look appetizing. Oh and everyone else I work with who tried them felt the same way (apparently they made a trip to Wendy's a few weeks ago…without telling me.)
horrible. no good at all.just nuggets with sauce.
2490 mg of sodium…..yuck
These are by far my fav item at Wendy's. They are not chicken nuggets because they are breaded differently. They do look like them though. They taste so good–the sauce is so freakin good.
