Upon my recent trip to the grocery store, I picked up Nestea’s new Pomegranate & Passion Fruit Red Tea, and let me start by saying that I am very glad I did. Previous to trying this new drink I had tried Nestea’s Regular tea, as well as their Green Tea, which just so happens to be one of my favorite drinks. So going into the whole experience I kind of expected a refreshing and delightful drink. I got not only that, but much more.

The bottle contains 2.5 Servings at 50 Calories per serving. Not quite the healthiest drink out there, but that is really the only downside to this “awesome” beverage. 36 grams of sugar and 130 total calories leaves Nestea’s Red Tea seeming like a close substitute to a Soda – although, with that said, last time I checked soda didn’t have antioxidants or a delicious natural taste.

This drink reminded me of Fruitopia, which, now that I think of it, I haven’t seen in years. Aside from that, Nestea’s Red Tea is absolutely delicious. It is the perfect blend of Pomegranate and Passion Fruit and contains no sour aftertaste whatsoever. The bottle says it is made from the South African Rooibos bush – a plant known for its antioxidants. The drink’s authenticity to exoticness is good enough for me and I can stand by my statement that this is one of the best new drinks I have had in a while. This drink comes highly recommended, especially if you are in the mood for a refreshing, natural, “awesome” drink. For all you health nuts out there, this may not exactly be the drink for you, but for those of you who like to enjoy a soda now and again this should be your first choice next time you’re out and about. Trust me, once you take your first sip, you wont believe your eyes. Umm, errr, I mean mouth.

Pomegranate 7 Up

Pomegranate 7-Up

Pomegranate 7-Up is a novel idea that would work great in theory, but in practice it falls a bit short. And by 'in practice' I mean 'mid-sip'. And by 'falls a bit short' I mean 'lacks any semblance to Pomegranate or Lemon-Lime'...

  1. I agree with all of the above but where do you find it? They serve it in the hospital where I work but I haven't been able to find it anywhere else and their website is useless as far as distribution is concerned.

  2. Agree…difficult to find. I discovered it at a Dollar Tree store in Utica Michigan….no idea if it is at other locations.

  3. You can look online under nested or coca cola they have 1800 number where you can call. That's what I did and I found a grocery stores that carries this red tea with pomegranate and passion fruit. They are sooooo good.

  4. Most Speedway gas stations sell this. 99 cents a bottle. :]
