Giving Jordan a hilarious line like “Slag Slayer” is great way to start off the episode. This episode had quite a few awesome daydreams too, the first one dealing with how no Chief of Medicine has heart, further going down that road. They make Eliza Coupe’s character Denise kind of a trashy crude person, while making Aziz look more and more cool.
On the path to being more like classic Scrubs, something has to be taught, or touched upon, and death was the big part of this episode. Not a major character or anything, just a patient named George. A good part of the episode was spent talking about different aspects of death between the man, JD and Turk. Really interesting things, but very depressing at the same time. The whole episode wasn’t a downer though with an awesome song from JD and Turk and a few light moments from the classic comic relief, Ted.
It was classic, it had a montage and most of all it got me thinking. I would of preferred this episode to have been as comical as the first one, seeing as how soon into the season it is. Certain parts deal with plenty of death related things that can have you feeling quite down at some points, but probably no biggie for a Six Feet Under fan. The deleted scene credits make up a lot for the death they set-up at the end.Even though I got hit with a a serious episode like this, Scrubs is seemingly back on the right path and for the first time in awhile I’m actually excited for next weeks episode.
