In recent years, I’ve come to appreciate Frosted Mini-Wheats more so than when I was a child, which was not at all. That whole grain stuff’s not so bad. The Strawberry flavored edition is especially good in my opinion. I’ve always kinda wondered why they’re called “mini” wheats, though, cause they’re kinda big. So I was pondering that thought whilst looking at Frosted Mini-Wheats in the grocery store last night, when I came upon a confusingly fantastic sight: mini Frosted Mini-Wheats. That’s right: mini Mini-Wheats; twice tiny’d; small to a 2. Then came the best part: CHOCOLATE? Surely this must be the cereal God eats (when he watches cartoons), I thought.
Got a bowl, poured ‘em in. Even though I knew they were gonna be smaller than normal, it caught me by surprise. They’re so damn bite-size! The first thing I noticed about these Chocolate “Little Bites” Mini-Wheats was that the chocolate flavor and Mini-Wheat texture created a pretty confusing disparity. The taste is just so different from what I’m used to when it comes to Mini-Wheats. The chocolate flavor itself reminds me of Oreo O’s and Chocolatey Delight Special K, but weaker. No, not weaker; more subtle. Even when it gets soggy, the flavor is mostly there.
This is, I think, the first chocolate cereal I’ve ever eaten that actually doesn’t turn your milk chocolatey. Which probably says something about the quality of the “chocolate” used, though I’m not sure what. It is a great source of fiber, being whole wheat and all. Unfortunately, it has the drawbacks of normal Frosted Mini-Wheats: soggyness, frosting melts off, and there’ll be a bunch of shredded wheat floating around your mouth for the next 4 or so hours. But I can dig it. It’s not incredible like I was hoping, but hey, variety is the spice of life.

>These Chocolate mini wheats little bites are about the best choc cereal i have ever had. The chocolate is in every piece and they are as good or better dry than in milk. Get out the milk and have a great bowl of cereal. One of the great parts is that it isn’t a great many more calories per serving.
>The best combination of black and white since Obama.
>Just tried these. They were so good I had to look them up to see what everyone else was saying. Great source of fiber and iron. The best part is they taste great.
>I have to admit that since I wrote this I’ve become quite fond of ‘em.
>i’d say they’re pretty tasty as wellll. :]
>They’re the best freaking cereal ever.
>I saw these in the store and ended up picking up the Special K Chocolatey Delight instead, which turned out to not be that good. I’m going to try some of these.
>They’re at least 200,000,000 times better than Chocolatey Delight.
>I’m in love with this cereal and it makes me excited to wake up in the morning. The sad part is where I’m at in eastern Washington, I have to pay almsot $5.00 a box.
>These are absolutely the best thing i have ever eaten IN MY LIFE.
>hmm i wonder if you can get these in canada yet… i have never seen them befor lol if it wasnt for my g/f i would have never knew they existed hahaha
They are fantastic – I love to snack on them dry with a cup of Earl Grey tea before bed! YUMMY!!!
How are these as a nighttime snack dry?
I have loved frosted mini wheats pretty much forever, and these are terrific. I sure hope this is a permanent flavor.I think the honey nut ones are terrible, by the way.
OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!! I haven't been this excited over cereal in decades!! I'm gonna have to keep a secret mommy-stash hidden just for me!!FYI – I bought 'em yesterday at a walmart in manitoba canada for $3.
