Taco Bell Volcano Taco

Taco Bell Volcano Taco

Have you ever wanted something from Taco Bell that’s actually hot? I’m not talking about temperature (that’d be asking way too much of them), I mean something that’s got some kick, makes the oral area tingle. Something that has good spice like that, but also a good taste. Well friends, our time is here. The Volcano Taco from Taco Bell is quite satisfying.

First of all, the shell is RED. Yeah, sometimes at like Moe’s or some place like that you’ve gotten a red tortilla chip or two, but the whole taco shell is red. I think it’s safe to say that it’s almost universally enjoyable to eat good food in an abnormal color. Actually, typing that out made me realize that it’s probably just me. But anyway, as well having a red shell (which would be a great advantage in Mario Kart), the Volcano Taco is also endowed with what makes it stand apart from a normal taco: the spicy cheese sauce. I’ve had tacos with nacho cheese sauce before, but this is spicy cheese taken to a whole new level. As I said before, it’s not family-friendly spicy. It’s not gonna leave your eyes watering for half an hour, but it’s a bit hotter than… probably anything I’ve had from a fast food place. And it actually tastes cheesy, so I was satisfied.

All in all, there’s very little that makes the Volcano Taco stand out from their normal tacos. The spicy cheese sauce is the kicker, though. It makes an increasingly average food more interesting, which is never a bad thing. If you’re not a fan of Taco Bell in general, this definitely won’t covert you, and it’s by no means filling (I immediately wanted like four more), but I enjoyed it. Best of all, it’s only $.89!

Wendy’s Signature Sides

Old Wendy has been revamping her menu items and introducing entirely new ones recently, and she continues this trend with Wendy's Signature Sides - Vermont Cheddar Macaroni, a Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Butter, and Loaded Fries.

Wendy's Cheesy Cheddar Burger Review

Wendy’s Cheesy Cheddar Burger

There are a lot of things you can do with a burger, but arguably one of the best is to add cheese. Not plain old American cheese, but Cheddar. Wendy's has made the attempt, but did they cheese it up right?

Arby's Angus Deli Cool Wrap Review

Arby’s Angus Cool Deli Wrap

Arby's is different; while all the other fast food chains chase the dollar menu dream, this restaurant guy is in it for the big bucks. The question is whether or not the Angus Cool Deli Wrap is worth 3 McDoubles and 3 BK Stackers.

Taco Bell XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito Review

Taco Bell XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

Taco Bell, everyone's favorite food recycler, is back with yet another proclamation of new food that is entirely too familiar. Their "new" XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito technically qualifies as new, but only from an added condiment.

Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito Review

Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito

Taco Bell has tried pulling the wool over our eyes in the past, but nothing as blatant as with the Beefy Melt Burrito, which is just a Beefy Crunch without Flamin' Hot Fritos. Read on for jokes about this uninspired creation.

  1. The taco is red, NOT SPICY. The only diff. from a regular taco is a little sauce, a very little sauce. Most of these reviews are crap. You say in the volcano box review that it is really spicy. I bet you didn't even eat one.

  2. You're right, the taco shell itself is red. You're not colorblind, good job! The cheese sauce is what has the spice, and no it's not very spicy, but whether you wanna try to look tough on the internet or not, spicy is a characteristic of the sauce. That's how it was made. Also, people have different taste buds. Lastly, perhaps I got more sauce than you.
