The new Beef Wong burger from McDonald’s is (as far as I know) a European exclusive, which is a damn shame, because it’s friggin’ delicious. McDonald’s took a pita and stuck a beef patty inside, and then threw in some vegetables alongside a tangy sauce that tingles when it hits your lips. The Beef Wong is a fantastic blend of flavor (or should I say flavour?) and textures as well. The beef patty isn’t greasy, which is extremely abnormal for anything made by McDonald’s. It’s also great, because I was able to hork this puppy down without the worry of dripping nasty McGrease all over my shorts.
The vegetables inside the Beef Wong consist of lettuce and chopped up carrots. There may or may not have been onions in there as well; I was too busy enjoying it to tell. It’s too bad this baby is so expensive, otherwise I’d have bought a couple more. The McDonald’s I bought it from ran me a cool five bucks, so unless you’re one of those rich types willing to blow your money on expensive fast food, you probably won’t be trying out the Beef Wong any time soon. Before I devoured this burger, I was very nearly starving (not really, but I was damned hungry) and I was shocked when I found myself full after eating it and it alone. I had to throw half of my Big Tasty away because I just couldn’t handle that amount of food. So try nixing the side of fries and go for just the sandwich. It may be expensive, but it’s something new that tastes great and fills you up. The hefty price is the only thing holding it back from a perfect score.
